Platform License via Satellite Receivers

General Authority of Media Regulation

An electronic service provided by the General Authority for Media Regulation, which allows beneficiaries to operate a platform for distributing and managing satellite channels via satellite. The service includes providers of live broadcast distribution services that use a conditional access system to broadcast visual and audio content, without the need to visit the Authority's headquarters. Service cost: Fifty thousand riyals In addition to two thousand riyals for each encrypted channel Annual financial fee: Four riyals per subscriber annually (calculated based on the average number of monthly subscribers, and calculated at the end of each calendar year).

Log in to the e-services portal (media platform).
Choose media licenses.
Choose the service (distribution platform license via satellite receivers).
Complete the required data.

Providing the Authority with a list of channel packages and their subscription prices.
The license applicant shall undertake to abide by the regulations and instructions for parental control of service users.
A commitment to abide by the controls for content, advertisements, classifications (including age classification) and instructions issued by the Authority.
A commitment to submit a report to the Authority every six months, or upon request by the Authority, provided that the report includes the following:
• The number of actual subscribers during the last six months and the expected number of subscribers during the following six months.
• A table of packages and channels, with a statement of the prices of each, audited financial statements.
A commercial register with the required media activity added.
The license applicant shall have a specific address (national address).
The applicant's identity shall be valid (national identity - resident identity - passport).
The applicant shall be the owner of the institution (institutions), or the director of the company (companies)
