Trade Name Reservation

Ministry of Commerce

An electronic service provided by the Ministry of Commerce, which enables beneficiaries to reserve a trade name and protect it for 60 days until a commercial registration is issued. Note: The period for using the trade name is 60 days until it is registered in the commercial register, electronically, without the need to visit the branches of the Ministry.

Log in to the system using your username and password or log in with your national access account
Click on "My Trade Names"
Click on Book a New Name
Fill in the required fields and select the type of reservation (suggested-private)
Click on Initial Inquiry.
After accepting the initial inquiry request, click on "Send Request" to be reviewed and approved by the employee electronically.

Not less than 18 years old.
Not a government employee.
The trade name must consist of Arabic or Arabized words, and must not include foreign words, with the exception of foreign companies or companies with mixed capital.
The name must be appropriate and not misleading, and must not affect Sharia or the public interest.
The trade name must not contain a prohibited name according to the list of prohibited names.
The trade name to be reserved must not be similar or identical to another existing or reserved trade name, whether in the singular or plural form.
The trade name must not contain a government name, governmental or semi-governmental.
The trade name must not contain a family name.
The trade name must not contain an activity name.
The trade name must not contain the name of a non-Arab country or city.
A trade name that contains the word "group" cannot be reserved except after reviewing the Ministry.
